To check your Aadhar status on UIDAI website, follow these steps:

Enter the security code and click on 'Check Status'.
You will see your Aadhar status as one of the following:
'Your Aadhaar is Generated. Download eAadhaar': This means that your Aadhar card has been generated and you can download it online.
'Your Aadhaar generation is in process. Please check again after a few days': This means that your Aadhar card is still being processed and you need to wait for some time.
'Your request has been processed. Please check again after a few days': This means that your request for update or correction has been processed and you need to wait for some time.
'Your request is in process. Please check again after a few days': This means that your request for update or correction is still being processed and you need to wait for some time.
'This enrolment has been rejected as duplicate. Please DO NOT RE_ENROL': This means that your enrolment has been rejected because you have already enrolled for Aadhar card before.
'This enrolment is under manual check and Aadhaar generation may be delayed. Please check again after a few days': This means that your enrolment requires manual verification and Aadhar generation may take longer than usual.
How to Check Aadhar PVC Card Status on UIDAI Website
Aadhar PVC card is a new form of Aadhar card that is more durable, convenient, and secure than the paper-based e-Aadhar card. It has a hologram, QR code, micro text, ghost image, issue date, print date, etc. to prevent tampering and fraud. You can order your Aadhar PVC card online by paying a nominal fee of Rs. 50/- (inclusive of GST & speed post charges).
To check your Aadhar PVC card status on UIDAI website, follow these steps:

Enter the security code and click on 'Send OTP' or 'Enter TOTP' if you have the mAadhaar app.

You will see your Aadhar PVC card status as one of the following:
'AWB Number Assigned': This means that your Aadhar PVC card has been dispatched by UIDAI and you can track it using the AWB number provided.

Select the fields that you want to update and click on 'Submit'.
Fill in the correct details in the respective fields and click on 'Submit Update Request'.
Upload the scanned copies of the original documents that support your update request and click on 'Submit'.
Select a BPO service provider that will verify your documents and click on 'Submit'.
You will see a confirmation message with an update request number (URN) that you can use to track your update status.
How to Update Address in Aadhar Using Valid Address Proof or Address Validation Letter
To update your address in Aadhar using a valid address proof or an address validation letter, follow these steps:
Using Valid Address Proof
Visit [22](https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/) and click on 'Proceed to Update Address'.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhar number or 16-digit virtual ID and captcha code and click on 'Send OTP' or 'Enter TOTP' if you have the mAadhaar app.
Enter the OTP or TOTP received on your registered mobile number and click on 'Login'.
Select the option 'Update Address via Address Proof' and click on 'Proceed'.
Enter your new address details in the respective fields and click on 'Preview'.
Review your address details and make any corrections if needed. Check the declaration box and click on 'Submit'.
Upload the scanned copy of the original address proof document that supports your update request and click on 'Submit'.
Select a BPO service provider that will verify your document and click on 'Submit'.
You will see a confirmation message with an update request number (URN) that you can use to track your update status.
Using Address Validation Letter
An address validation letter is a letter sent by UIDAI to the address given by you as a proof of address. You can use this option if you do not have any valid address proof document or if you want to update your address to a new one where you are currently residing.
Visit [21](https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/) and click on 'Proceed to Update Address'.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhar number or 16-digit virtual ID and captcha code and click on 'Send OTP' or 'Enter TOTP' if you have the mAadhaar app.
Enter the OTP or TOTP received on your registered mobile number and click on 'Login'.
Select the option 'Update Address via Secret Code' and click on 'Proceed'.
Enter the address details of the person who is willing to let you use their address as a proof of address. This person can be a family member, relative, friend, landlord, etc. who is willing to give their consent for your address update. They should also have a valid Aadhar number.
Click on 'Submit' and you will see a confirmation message saying 'Request for Address Validation Letter has been submitted successfully' along with a service request number (SRN) that you can use to track your request status.
The person whose address you have used will receive an SMS with a link to give their consent for your address update. They need to click on the link and enter their Aadhar number and OTP received on their registered mobile number. They need to check the declaration box and click on 'Submit'.
Once they give their consent, UIDAI will send an address validation letter containing a secret code to their address via post. You need to collect the letter from them and enter the secret code on the UIDAI website to complete your address update request.

Enter your 12-digit Aadhar number or 16-digit virtual ID and captcha code and click on 'Send OTP' or 'Enter TOTP' if you have the mAadhaar app.
Enter the OTP or TOTP received on your registered mobile number and click on 'Login'.
Select the option 'Update Address via Secret Code' and enter the secret code that you received in the address validation letter. Click on 'Submit'.
You will see your new address details as entered by you earlier. Review them and make any corrections if needed. Check the declaration box and click on 'Submit'.
You will see a confirmation message with an update request number (URN) that you can use to track your update status.
How to Update Aadhar Details Using mAadhaar App
mAadhaar is a mobile app that allows you to access your Aadhar card details on your smartphone. You can also use it to update your Aadhar details such as name, date of birth, gender, address, mobile number, email ID, etc. To update your Aadhar details using mAadhaar app, follow these steps:
Download and install mAadhaar app from [19](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.gov.uidai.mAadhaarPlus&hl=en_IN&gl=US) (for Android) or [18](https://apps.apple.com/in/app/maadhaar/id1435469474) (for iOS).
Open the app and create your profile by entering your Aadhar number or scanning the QR code on your Aadhar card. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number that you need to enter to verify your profile.
Select the profile that you want to update and tap on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) on the top left corner of the screen.
Select 'Update Demographics Data' and choose the field that you want to update such as name, date of birth, gender, address, mobile number, email ID, etc.
Enter the correct details in the respective fields and upload the supporting documents if required. Tap on 'Submit'.

How to Visit an Enrolment/Update Center for Aadhar Update
If you are unable to update your Aadhar details online or using mAadhaar app , you can also visit an enrolment/update center for Aadhar update. To visit an enrolment/update center for Aadhar update, follow these steps:
Locate the nearest enrolment/update center by visiting [17](https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/easearch.aspx) or by calling the toll-free number 1947.
Book an appointment online by visiting [16](https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/bookappointment.aspx) or by using the mAadhaar app. You can also walk-in to the center without an appointment but you may have to wait longer.
Carry your original Aadhar card and the documents that support your update request such as proof of identity, proof of address, proof of date of birth, etc. You can check the list of valid documents by visiting [15](https://uidai.gov.in/images/commdoc/valid_documents_list.pdf).
Fill in the Aadhar update/correction form available at the center and submit it along with your documents and biometric verification.
Pay the update fee of Rs. 50/- (inclusive of GST) for demographic update or Rs. 100/- (inclusive of GST) for biometric update. You can pay by cash, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
You will receive an acknowledgement slip with an update request number (URN) that you can use to track your update status.
